Lion Patricia Cuthill
Zone Chair H5 2009 - 2010

Patricia was born in Trail, BC and grew up in Greenwood, BC. She married Brian Cuthill and they will be celebrating their 46th wedding anniversary in November 2009. They have been blessed with 5 children, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grand-children and their two guard dogs Mr. Tibbs, a Toy Poodle and Miss Peek-a-boo, a Pekinese.

In 1978 Patricia was involved in a Pilot Project with the City of Grand Forks, BC which enabled adults to continue their High school education. That seemed to light a fire under her because she was soon taking courses in clerical, accounting and tax programs which led to her involvement with community service.

1985-1987 Grant MacKewan College
H&R Block for sixteen(16) years in Lethbridge, Edmonton, Toronto and Surrey as a Tax preparer, Instructor, Supervisor, and Manager.
Awarded two Public Relations Awards and a 15 year Service Award (H&R BLOCK).
Worked for 2 years for Ben Tax

VOLUNTEER SERVICE

Community Volunteer Program in Surrey for 7 yrs which gives her 25 yrs of service in taxes.
Girl Guide leader in Greenwood, Logan Lake, and Toronto.
City of Lethbridge Handicapped Program
City of Edmonton - Seniors Program
President of the Dogwood Anti-Poverty Society
City of Surrey Award
Friends of Newton Award for Community Involvement

LIONS HISTORY

In 2001 an accident that had seriously limited Patricia’s mobility where she was confined to her home for 4 months. The Guildford Lions loaned her a scooter. She joined the Guildford Lions Club in hopes of repaying some of their kindness & generosity and to give back to her Community. Patricia has never looked back.

2007-2009 Advisor, Guildford Leos Club
In addition, Patricia was editor of Guildford Lions Bulletin, Bulletin editor for Zone Chair, Marion Quinlan. She was also Zone H5 Secretary and Camp Horizon Rep for 2008-2009.

Patricia’s favourite projects: Christmas Hampers, Free the Fuzz and Relay for Life.
